Friday On My Mind - The Easybeats (1967)

Well you know that "Money (That's What I Want)"
is such a great song,
so it won't surprised you that it was covered by The Beatles
and The Rolling Stones (and a bunch of other great bands!)
Unfortunately, there's no video of Barrett Strong performing "Money"
but we still have the others
Starting with The Beatles!
Money (That's What I Want) - The Beatles

The Beatles performing "Money (That's What I Want)"
live in Liverpool in 1963

Talking 'bout great bands, here are The Kingsmen!
The Kingsmen performing "Money" live on
Shindig! on October 21, 1965

The Kingsmen on "Hollywood A Go Go" playing "Money"
with a "Louie Louie" introduction
Look at the Go Go dancer on the right, she's turning crazy!

Well, what can we say more apart from 'The Kingsmen in Color!'
Love the drummer, looks like he's ice-skating

The Chocolate Watchband performing "Don't Need Your Lovin'"
in the utterly cool flick "Riot In Sunset Strip"
Subtitled in Italian!

The wonderful Reflections performing "(Just Like) Romeo And Juliet"
(probably on Shivaree)
This is Blue-Eyed Soul perfection!

I decided to post pics of (obscure) artist I can't find videos of
(as long as I can find pics of them!)
So let's start with Andrew Tibbs
Andrew Tibbs

Here's the original video of "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies

Nino Tempo & April Stevens lip-syncing
"I Love How You Love Me" on Shivaree

Here's a pretty unusual (and weird) version of
"Land Of 1000 Dances" by Nino Tempo & April Stevens
Anyway, nice swimsuits!

Well, I couldn't find a video of Carla Thomas and Otis Redding
so here are Otis Redding and Mytch Rider performing
"Knock On Wood" on Upbeat
If my mind is not cheating me, I think they are backed
by The Bar-Keys

Mr. "Be-Bop A Lula" himself, Mr. Gene Vincent!
"Dance To The Bop"

Dance To The Bop - Gene Vincent & His Blue Caps
A little bit weird video

The Beatles Cartoons TV Series Epidose 1

Movie Of The Week
/
The Love-Ins (1967)

Here's the trailer of the movie
Pretty psychedelic!

U.S. film. LSD, happenings, false gurus, pregnancy, suicide, and murder. Psychedelic 60s garage bands the Chocolate Watchband, the UFOs, the New Age, Donnie Brooks. According to Dr. Barnett, "LSD opens up new vistas and experiences to those that take it, I believe that every healthy person should try it. This is a way of life: Be More. Sense More. Love More." Dr. Timothy Leary inspired film set in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district.

Lots of happenings in Golden Gate Park. Hippies, bikers, liquid light shows, scary hallucinations and more! Susan Oliver, Richard Todd, James MacArthur, Mark Goddard and Joe Pyne. The Love-Ins!
